My great grandfather is a traitor and a thief; my father followed his steps and ended up in prison,
I inherited all their ill gotten wealth; lived a loose life in the streets of London and Germany, patronised a special booth in “red light” street in the Netherlands. As for my schooling I boycotted lectures so no certificate to show. As my monies were dissipating I remembered what my father dreamt of me when I visited him in his cell. My Father dreamt that I am the head of state and has ordered his released from prison. He cautioned me about my ill life style but I didn’t heed to him because I knew the old boy was suffering from hay fever. My father strictly cautioned again that if I have to sell all the properties to become what he dreamt of I have to.
I was living my life after the old boy passed on to the ancestors and my father’s friends and partners in crime impressed upon me to fulfil the dream my father had about me when he was in prison that I will one day become the head of state. I thought of it as a great opportunity to loot big time to replenish what I have wasted; that’s why I desist to take part in the property grabbing and looting galore in a certain regime I was part of though I managed to pocket the balance of some sale of national properties with my fathers cronies.
I have done my best to obtain a ticket to fulfil my fathers dream to become head of state through demonstration, market burning, Sabotaging national programs, blowing false alarms, Lying about the state of the economy, boycotting state conferences, litigations, campaigns and many more. I have also become a chameleon: turned into Muslim, Christian, Hindi, Buddhist, Gay, Fetish now I don’t even know what I believe in. I have also sold all the treasures bequeathed to me on my way to “flag staff house” Unfortunately failure has been my portion and I’m over 70 years of age; my father too is no more. This is not my dream but my fathers.

The real reasons NDC cannot allow a new Voters' Register are - (i)they paid good money to get all those foreigners, minors and double registration on to the current register (ii)a new register would call into question the results of the last election which was hotly contested and controversially upheld by a Judiciary we now know to be corrupt (iii) the bloating of the new register by the usual methods would be extremely difficult to accomplish given the intense scrutiny that would accompany the registration exercise this time around.

I always said, since the NPP is not calling for their so-called 76,000 foreign names to be investigated and if found to be true, expunged from the register and are rather calling for the compilation of an entirely new register means they have a secret plan to bloat the new register.
The question we should be asking is that, why throw away a register containing 14 million voters just because 76,000 are suspected to be foreigners?
The EC gave all political parties up to September 22, 2016 to submit proposals for dealing with the alleged foreign names. The deadline has not even passed and yet, the NPP has started demonstrating against the EC.
The EC should collect evidence from the NPP on their so-called 76,000 foreign names, do a thorough investigation and those that are found to be illegal, removed from the register. The EC must not bow to pressure from any quarters to compile any new register. If it does, it will end-up with a very bloated register than the one it currently has. The only way the NPP can carryout its plan is when a new register is being compiled.
EC must not bow to any patapa pressure from these NPP hooligans. They deserve what the Police meted out to them.

By saying NDC should not allow the new voters register, when the whole NDC party machinery led by it's General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia knows and admits the register is bloated and compromised, all the Opposition Political Parties know and admit it's bloated and compromised, the Clergy know and admits the register is compromised, the Traditional Authorities know and admit the voter register is a discredited document, Civil Society Organizations know and admit the voters register is not worth the paper it is written on, the Peace Council know and admits the voters register is not a voters register, and even the Electoral Commission of Ghana, the body mandated to conduct credible and transparent elections in this country knows and admits the voter roll is compromised, it becomes a tad difficult to understand what this Bature character is talking about and shows clearly, the issues are way over his head and there is nothing going on in his coconut.
It should be however be noted though, the attempt to stir religious sentiments as a political tool to divide Ghanaians, is not lost on well meaning and fair-minded Ghanaians from the example he cited in making the case against the compilation of a credible new voters register.
The electoral laws of the country provides for persons whose eligibility to vote is contested by whoever, to file the appropriate forms as to why the said individual should not be allowed to vote.
It would have made for intelligent analysis of the issues to be considered as factual, if Bature could help Ghanaians appreciate the example and allegation he put out there with hard evidence to support the example he cited. And on the issue of NPP or any political party for that matter apart from the NDC party filling the voters register to the brim with ineligible voters, in their strongholds as alluded to by Bature, currently there is no evidence of such as opposed to the evidence so far adduced by the NPP from the analysis of just 10% of the voter roll in the NDC stronghold. That is not to say though, such evidence may or might not exist. It however makes the case strongly for a new voters register with the necessary safeguards to ensure the voter roll is credible and can pass strict electoral scrutiny when employed for elections in this country as to be described as free, fair, transparent and credible in the interest of the peace and stability of this country.
However, there is no gainsaying the fact that such loose, crass and unintelligent talk not supported by any such facts should be discouraged in our discourse, because the dumbing down in the discussion of such critical national issues, does not help in the development of this country and it is plainly unnecessary. There should be seriousness in this country.

If the NDC ADMINISTRATION is bent on muscling its way to power then they must expect stubborn and unyielding opposition. They don't own the monopoly over violence. The party is made up of a group of individuals who don't believe in true democracy. Democracy and the Third Republic was imposed on a recalcitrant Rawlings after a series of demonstrations by Ghanaians and some arm twisting from the Western democracies. Their fears are not without basis.They think it's sheer stupidity to accept a leveling of the playing field because it's a near impossibility for the NDC to triumph in a free and fair election in Ghana. Some of us are bent on calling their bluff and want to end their stranglehold on Ghana politics especially when their rule is repeatedly traumatic and a failure. I had a dream and Ghana our beloved country was on fire and President Mahama ran. You see he had listened to bad advice from the devil worshippers, and their evil dwarfs. In the dream, the Presidency had blackmailed the EC into submission and they would not listen to sound advice. Together with their masters, they set out to deceive the nation. But God, the father almighty, the creator of this universe and all that is seen and unseen had a better plan for the nation called Ghana. Defiantly, the duo set out to defy and even waged war against the Creator. The consequence was just and swift. At last the war mongers had lost the war and Mahama run with hoards of his sycophants. I am not so sure of what happened to them.
I pray that the President will listen to sound advice and make God the center of his focus for all is not lost yet. God inspired you, Mr President to intervene for Togo, a feat that averted calamity. God is telling you to do same for your own nation. What a simple request from your creator who will judge you one day and very soon. Is it not better to lose an election and save your soul than to win a staged election that will bring so much death and misery to God’s creation? You don’t want to be responsible for such a wanton destruction. No you don’t. A situation, that has the potential to lead you straight to hell. Eternity in hell is way too long. God needs your answer now. Today you have all the opportunity to right all the wrongs and live in God's eternal grace but tomorrow you may not. Just do the right thing, life is not worth the direction you are being tricked to tow.

From what we know now, the electoral register is loaded with people who are not eligible to vote. And to erase any doubts in the minds of Ghanaians post 2016 elections, it makes a lot of sense for the electoral register to be updated. It is not what NDC as a party wants but what the people of Ghana wants. The electoral commission is an independent body that should be allowed to make its own informed decision and not any party. Please, I would advice you to refrain from such icelandish comments if you are a true democrat and not a stomach journalist. How childish to say that NPP want to load the register! Where will the government be then? Please for the sake of democracy in Ghana grow up.

What is funny about the foolish mindset and the primitivity of the Ghanaian politicians is that they always lured their supporters in calling for SOMETHING NEW about the voters register when time for voting draws closer.
Why are we choosing to be going this funny way in our politics? Ghana in real sense is dominated by village minded people full of primitive ideas with the only aim of creating problems for themselves.
Why did not they [the NPP and the people engineering this village style of creatng problem] call for the solution of this voters register earlier after the election petition? What is happening now is the trouble making/causing mindset that they are associated with.
Finally there should be solution to all this political sickness that had bedeviled our nation. It is said that two wrongs never makes right.

I will like to put this suggestion in place of a new register: 1 there should be an exhibition of the register for a period of 2 weeks for every one to go and verify.
2 during that period new biometric data will be taken for everyone who will go to verify and have their name on the register.
3 all party members shd send their rep to monitor the process.
4, only persons whose data will be captured again during this period will be allowed to vote.
5. A new register will be compiled base on persons who will avail themselves during this exercise.
6.. All party rep during this period should monitor foreigners and children who are on the register who present them for verification to be eliminated.
This is an alternative way for a new registration and it is equally good as having new register and a credible one for genuine election.
