The fact that the people are on Togo register does not mean that they are not Ghanaians. If for example any on the Togo register has a Togolese father and a Ghanaian mother, then automatically that person is a Ghanaian. The NPP has to prove that those on the Togo register are for example:
1, Neither of their parents is a Ghanaian
2. None of their grandparents is a Ghanaian
3. None is married to a Ghanaian.
3. None was adopted by a Ghanaian before the age of 16
4. None was born in Ghana and has naturalised as a Ghanaian
in accordance with the 1992 Constitution.
The NPP should therefore note that merely presenting the Togo Voters register to Mrs. Charlotte Osei, the Electoral Commission Chairperson does not mean anything apart from total ignorance demonstrated by the NPP with respect to the law on citizenship.

They knew so well their demand will get them no where. At the EC forum held recently, the NPP needed no one to tell them that their logic is warped, and that their demand was shot down. If there is any wise person among them, he should advise them not to go on that tangent, for there are legal implications. It's illegal and criminal for an individual or a party from one country to possess the voters' register that belongs to another country. The path they are treading is very dangerous indeed.
