It is a shame and grievous insult to the former President to be burdened with the ineptitude, lack of integrity, and proclivity of the NPP Flagbearer. Akufo-Addo dug his own political grave. Why do you want someone else to lie in it?
Since when have you, for instance, heard former President Kufuor invoke ethnic or tribal affiliation or claim a perceived superiority of his Tribe, to woo votes for political Power?
Nana has been as arrogantly stubborn as a mule, and most likely been clandestinely viciously pursuing irreparable divisions in the NPP. He even tried to project that cynical tribal and ethnic divisiveness into national Politics.
He has shown little to no proactive effort in bringing Peace to the NPP, and at best, only passively supervised violent assaults among the members leading to even fatalities.
These few reasons, among many more, are enough to repel the electorate from voting for him. It has never been Kufuor's fault.
You have allowed yourselves to be led by the fascist bigots like Professor Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., Ken Agyapong, and ignobly indurated ideologues like Professor Amoako-Baah, to simply take over the Party. And you and they have not been addressing the very rudimentary causes for Akufo-Addo's failure, and barking the wrong tree.
So, until you guys and Nana humbly concede his personal inadequacies to address them realistically, he can never become the President of Ghana. Therefore, stop blaming Kufour for Nana's losses and lack of attraction to the Public.

Kuffour is pro npp because the party is above any individual person.
Let me give you a gist of what is happening to the npp. About 99.9% of the problem will be laid at the doorsteps of nana addo. Nana Addo today see himself as self ordained to be president and has surrounded himself with some shaddy characters and his family members. Nana has never accepted that he has lost 3 elections. When did it became the norm for one to suffer for the sins of his brother, cousin or family member? if that rod is used then nana addo will fail because his own cousin dealt in drugs and was imprisoned. what about that? If you will recollect the very day that afoko was elected gabby otchere went on air to propose that the party amend its constitution to allow the flagbearer to appoint its own chairman and general secretary, that was the very day i sensed fear for afoko. ask yourself why did the NEC ignored the constitution of the npp and went ahead to do their own thing to please nana addo. Today the NPP which used to accommodate all shades of opinion has become an extremist party worshipping a single mortal being called nana addo. time will tell.
