The Eastern Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party has congratulated the delegates of the governing National Democratic Congress for confirming John Dramani Mahama as the most incompetent president the country has ever had in their November 21 presidential primaries.
President Mahama went unopposed after sponsoring the disqualification of key contender George Boateng. He was left with only ‘No’ to contest with.
Some 1.1 million members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the weekend voted in the party’s presidential primaries endorsing the candidature of President Mahama, giving him a 95.01% endorsement to lead the NDC in the 2016 general elections.
However, David Prah, the Eastern Regional Communications Director, in a press statement, said “it’s interesting to note President Mahama went to the length and breadth of this country organising rallies with huge billboards, T-shirts, sharing monies and buying their executives but still could not secure his much touted 100%.”
“The NDC’s own release from Electoral Commission shows that as many as 61,836 delegates of NDC voted to say ‘NO’ to corruption, stealing, over-pricing of contract sum, Wayome Gate, GYEEDA scandal, Isofoton thievery, African Automobile scam, SADA, Akofem Tree, Muntaka Kyinkyinga, Ayarigat, Atlas money, RLG/SUBAH cash, Elvis Afriyie World Cup fake tears, DVLA Licence chop chop among other high profile financial scandals of Mahama and his NDC appointees.
“We say ayeekoo to all the well-meaning NDC delegates who believe enough is enough. Ghanaians are motivated by your resolve to save Mother Ghana from further financial bleeding under President John Dramani Mahama,” the statement underscored.
According to David Prah, it is a clear indication that the days of John Dramani Mahama are numbered and that come November 7, 2016 the people of Ghana will vote for a CHANGE to bring Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to rescue the ailing economy.
“We want to assure the people of Eastern Region and the country as a whole that as their humble children, the New Patriotic Party will serve their interest as always. You have shown the way and the people of Ghana will not disappoint you. Once again we say thank you to those competent NDC delegates for voting ‘NO’ to confirm and affirm that President Mahama is incompetent,” the NPP added.
