In politics, perception is reality, whether we like it or not. Afari Djan had his share of political combat when he occupied the chairmanship of the EC. Now Charlotte Osei should steel herself for that same political combat. The Charlotte Osei Commission has not done well in the perception area, convening advisory body which looked like an NDC subsidiary. Ghanaian public officials, heavily imbued with the 'chop chop' culture, tend to lack.the balls to show high integrity, therefore it is difficult to evaluate if the entire commission concurred in the various decisions which have been taken by the EC. The EC must not only be fair, but it must be seen to be fair and even handed! Vive Ghana! !!

John Mahama is tribalistic, inward looking; only appoints majority cabinet and other ministers from his tribes in the north, ignores other regions and when it comes to women, only defends the perceived girlfriend of Charlotte Osei and does not care about women enforcers of the law whose lives have been threatened with rape and death by ndc spokesmen on radio.
He still hesitates in outright condemnation of the montie 3 and cannot decide as president whether to pardon them or not instead as a coward, refers the matter to council of state who have not been elected by voters to take decisions for Ghana.
