We shall encourage the ewes and northerners to secede and form their own states so we place international borders between our peoples and try to be constructive neighbors instead of this situation that only creates hatred resentment and tribalism mixed with hegemony.Yes its time table these issues as if one views the distribution of votes we see Nana this time got the support of the united Akan and all others gave support to the criminal mahama led ndc . If both sides are right then we need to consider a confederation or outright separate states and organize a peaceful referendum to that effect just like Czechoslovakia did , no need to break up in the throes of war and violence as the secession is inevitable. Lets not allow the deterioration into war as we see in Somalia , Syria ,Iraq , Yugoslavia and soon Turkey. Akans have a different set of moral values virtues and aspirations than the rest so we should enable them their own freedom to pursue their destiny. We should reinstate to votes rights to all our diaspora as where-ever they are the share in the hopes and aspirations of the Akan desire for development and jobs.

There is no obligation for Ewes to vote for the NPP but their attitude towards the democracy in Ghana is sickening. If the Ewes want their cousins in Togo to be part of Ghana, this is the time. They should not wait for the election time before they call their Togolese brothers and sisters to join them. The NPP spent a lot of money trying to stop these Togolese from coming to vote in Ghana. Thanks to Asiedu Nketiah who revealed the NDC is going to bus Ewes from Togo to Ghana, the NPP were vigilant and were able to stop them. Ewes should be fair to the Ghana they claim to love.

I have never heard any Ashanti or even any NPP candidate say,"Vote for me because I am Ashanti or a Northerner". It's only Ewes and Northerners who make these claims. They even try to teach the Fantis and Ga people to do that, but a I can sense a change of mindset in Ghanaian voters which started during the just ended elections. I hope Ghanaians will continue with this trend whether it's against the NPP or the NDC.

However, Volta can be more receptive to an Ashanti candidate who is not divisive. A good example is Kufuor. I think Akuffo is an honest man except some of his party members who pronounced some serious and disturbing things that can bring division. However, I am glad that the people's voice was heeded peacefully.

Why should Volta Region be quiet after Nana Addo's win? The Volta Region with its Ewes population has played tribe card for far too long. I thought they would have learned from president Kuffour win twelve years ago. They did not vote for Kuffour. They vote their tribal party, NDC. However, Kuffour did a lot for that region.
NDC has been using tribal card to keep Volta Region in NDC plantation farms as just laborers. It is time for Volta Region to open their eyes.
I will encourage Nana Addo to continue any good project NDC started in Volta Region. Nana must visit Volta Region frequently. Volta region must be courted into NPP or other parties. They can't all be in a tribal camp like that. It does not facilitate ethnic integration in our society.
All Ghanaians must be one for the development of our country. Every nation is developing fast. We can not allow tribalism to destroy us.It is their so called socialist elites who are keeping Volta Region in NDC plantation projects.
I hope, the intellectuals among them will free themselves from NDC plantations and think independently. NPP need all people just as many Akans and other ethnic froups in Ghana have joined NDC.
A word to wise is enough.I love you guys. Let us integrate our ssociety. We will all perish if we segmently divide our society on tribal lines.

When you click on the Ghanaweb provided election map, Volta Region is the second region after Upper East Region without an NPP constituency. All other regions in the country have both NPP and NDC constituencies in different proportions. Despite all the economic hardships facing everyone in the country, especially the Voltarians, they still turned a blind eye and voted for NDC. This is an indication of the deep seated hatred they have for Akans, especially Asantes. The irony is that Akans have throughout history provided jobs and settlement for them. If a party is shown to be corrupt and incompetent, one would have thought that we would all come together and remove them from office. Not my nyebros. Very envious. Very selfish. Very inward looking.

I haven't done yet an evaluation of his 4 years nightmare based on my yardstick as outlined in my article "Staying in the Frying Pan," posted on Ghanaweb too on 21 Dec. 2012, as the signs of his failures were so glaring it'd be superfluous doing so.
But for me, this is a Pyrrhic Victory. I am double sad that the NPP has won the election and my own Nkrumahist tradition has been wiped out and their leaders have been shown to be delusional nincompoops again! I wonder if they will continue to be splintered in petty anomic groups claiming to be political parties and heirs to the ideals of the great Kwame Nkrumah.

Ashanties by nature are proud people which sometimes is irritating and makes them come across as arrogant but they are very accommodating and kind hearted, having said that some Ewes on the other hand are inward looking and that has nothing to do with the way Ashanties are, it just happens to be their nature, but you also get to see their good side when you get closer to them.
And for your information, Ashanties do not hate Ewes, the fact that you don't like someone's attitude or behaviour does not mean you hate the person. We can't all be the same.
Leave Ashanties and Ewes to be who they are, maybe people like you need to learn to accept people just the way they are and work with them. Accusations and name calling will never change anything, it only pushes people to take entrenched positions and in the end nothing is achieved.

There is a saying that power withers like the wind and they never thought that NDC will lose power. NDC is going to be in opposition for some time and Voltarians should embrace themselves for that. This election showed how they allow people to vote multiple times but that scenario did not happen this time. They are to blame themselves for being "close-minded humans".

In Ashanti & BA, you have the largest concentration of Northerners outside of their home regions. In Eastern Region, Ewes may well come next to the indigenes at Afram Plains. For the Akans, that's the way love goes. But hmmm...the Ayigbe migrant on somebody's land would even like to change the native area names to Avuukope, Koklokope, Dekakope. Of course, in the midst of a predominately NDC population, those who are excited by the Nana Addo win (and there is evidence that aside those who voted for him, there are many who deliberately did not vote to ensure that Mahama lost)may deem it needless to come out to openly jubilate.
By the way Nana Addo's wife is a Ga Adangbe and there are many others who are of mixed origins and tribes in the NPP.
Let us not seek to turn Ghana around, when we have made so much progress until recent years
