How disappointing. You can't start your presidency by committing to not prosecuting wrong-doing in the previous administration. That is not the message expected by those who voted for your anti-corruption stance. Crime is crime irrespective of the political party the criminal belongs to. I believe what needs to be said is that every case will be investigated and where merited it should be prosecuted by the state. That is no witch-hunt as if it is across the board will imply that it will not be countenanced even if it occurred in your own party. You can't start by making promises to people who cast themselves as statesmen when in truth they will not be able to withstand the bright light of scrutiny. Nana, please don't settle. I believe you mean well, but the wealth of Ghana should be applied for the benefit of all Ghanaians and where we find it ended in criminal pockets, every effort should be made to recover it for the benefit of the state. There must be clarity in how you intend to govern. You have just let yourself be baited by the founder of the NDC. Do you suppose he wishes you to succeed?
