As expectations by Ghanaians are high on the new government to deliver, Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South Dr. Clement Abasinaab Apaak has assured his constituents that he will lobby in parliament to get what is due them.

“My role is to make sure that they get what is due them, and I believe that I should be able to advocate and to bring forth their issues. And to make justifiable arguments as to why they need clean drinking water, as to why they need good roads, as to why they need more schools, for example as why agric is to be improved, as why the women and youth must be empowered ”, Dr. Apaak explained.

Speaking on CitiFM's Point Blank programme, Dr. Apaak said all these needs are rights available to every Ghanaian as enshrined in the constitution.

He pointed out that, under the directive principles of state policy, every government is enjoined to provide such facilities.

To this end, Dr. Apaak reiterated that, it is his role as an MP to advocate and lobby in the House to enable his constituents enjoy their slice of the national cake.

“The people of Builsa South are also Ghanaians and rightly so they also expect to benefit from what their nation has to provide for them”, Apaak stated.

The Builsa South MP wished the NDC led by former president Mahama had won the 2016 elections to continue its good works; nonetheless he said the current NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo has the responsibility to ensure that Ghanaians in general and his constituents in particular, get their fair share of the national cake.
