my advise to Alan Cash is that at the ports you need to settle on flat rate import duties tax, most especially on CARS and the so called over-aged must be abolished.
The reasons to aboilsed this over aged car thing is simply -every government need money for her business so
1. you would get your flat rate duty tax on the car .
2.That car if it comes into the country no matter what it serves as a raw material, when it is of no more use in the street. you can recycle it for the irons and plate industry without digging the soil for ores
3.it can create employments too
4.an overaged car from abroad looks more strong and shaped than a 8yrs car in ghana, so the situation would be like most of the over 20yrs cars in our roads would surly disappeared for scribes and can also reduce some accident and death on our roads
