When the crew narrate the thousands of tons this chinese trawlers throw back into our ocean you will cry if you understand fishing.There is another big question we have to ask.Who bring this chinese trawlers?Majority of the trawler are brought by our politicians both npp and ndc who have dominated in governance.
This trawlers have collapsed our local fishing industry.The only source of income for our local fishermen is to practice this unlawful light fishing.So our mother, honourable Naa Afoley don't just stress on light fishing if you want your ministry to stand tall,reduce or find your way to remove trawlers from our ocean, like what the senegales government did to revive their local fishing industry,which has return most of their coastal people from abroad.Our local fishing industry also contribute a lot to our economy,and it is a private sector which npp government has promise it is a vital growth to our economy and help all private sector to growth.
