Some tradition forbid women from contributing in family matters, whilse others, like mine, the Akan tradition , being matrilineal gives women power to deliberate in family issues. A woman is suppose to be a woman of attitude and a lady of class, this doesn't mean a woman has to be timid and fragile even if someone is impeding on her rights. The secret is most men admire and will want to marry bold and brave women who speak their mind and respect . These same men intimidate the weak women who think humility is being timid and fragile. Talking your mind is not disrespectful. Maybe your demeanor makes it looks disrespectful. Otiko, U are right by saying women have to talk their mind.
