Nana Akuffo Addo is on the right track. There is going to be effectiveness in the delivery of governance to the people of Ghana. This is how you build a government, and after the necessary developmental ground work is put in place, the big government is reduced, through private partnership and contracting. I was impressed by the creation of Procurement Ministry, Minister in-charge of Higher Education and Minister of State for Agriculture. These newly created ministries, will go a long way to reduce corruption in higher places, link national development to higher education and research, as well as, re-tool agriculture, as the engine of economic growth, to create jobs for the youth, instead of galamsey. Bravo, Nana Addo, damn your critics, for they know not!

When the wall street crashed and all else came tumbling down in the USA, President Obama did NOT increase his cabinet nor secretaries of state to overcome a tumbling economy but used what human resources within his powers to overcome the worlds largest economy from total crash. That is efficiency at work, that is integrity at work, that was competence at play. This is totally unacceptable for a small economy such as ours, struggling to stand on its feet. Considering what Nana Akomea said on Asempa FM in 2013, if we are not to be mistaken, after 4 years, it has actually gotten worse thus the exit of the Mahama NDC gov't.
Unless, what Ghanaians were told by the NPP concerning the state of affairs under the Mahama NDC gov't was false, some of which Nana Akomea enumerated ie no gas for power, rationing of water etc, etc.
The economy and the Exchequer cannot and should not, support the huge number of deputy ministers and notwithstanding this basic fact, governance necessarily for it to be effective and efficient needs smartness leveraging on innovative and improved ways of getting the job done and that should be the goal.
The concerns about the large ministerial number would not be over anything time soon and it must be addressed.
The President needs good advice, good counsel, good feedback on the issues instead of pigeon-holing him to fail on his agenda by defending the indefensible.
