What do these politicians take Ghanaians for? I wonder if they honestly believe their lies. What prevented the current President from ensuring that MMDCEs are elected just like Assembly members? Meanwhile, these appointed MMDCEs have a secure tenure of office for 4 years. What would happen if by a twist of fate, this current government is voted out of office? It is not only the appointment of the MMDCEs is an affront to democracy but also the appointment of a third of assembly members by the President. It is just job for the boys and nothing else. Trust me, in four years time we shall be having the same political carrousel. I thought as an Hajia this woman should have been a bit more forthright with Ghanaians.

That will solve the problems that always come up when government appoints the MMDCEs. It is a step in the right direction. MMDCEs must be voted for by the local people themselves.
