Felix Kwakye Ofosu, former deputy Communications Minister
Former Minister of Communications under the erstwhile Mahama Administration, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has said he cannot fathom the reason behind the creation of some ministries under the NPP government.
The former Minister described such ministerial portfolios as “superfluous” and that there was no need for the creation of such ministries.
According to him, ‘’what is the essence of creating a monitoring ministry and procurement ministry when we have the National Procurement Authority that is mandated by the constitution to perform the same function.” He told Accra Based Radio Gold on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
In his analysis of the New Patriotic Party, a year on he noted that, “it is the most nepotistic government in Ghanaians history apart from the creation of unnecessary ministries, there has been appointment of family and friends.’’ He said.
He also alleged that, considering what is going on in Ghana there is no need for the New Patriotic Party to celebrate their victory.
