Only a united front in NDC can save Ghanaians under the hardship of NPP - Mahama

Former President of Ghana and the 2016 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), John Dramni Mahamahas called for a fair, transparent and a peaceful election as the party goes to the polls to elect its Constituency Executives.

After “successful” branch elections in over 30,000 constituency branches across the country, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is going to the Polls today to elect leaders in the various constituencies across the country.

A statement from the former President said ” I wish all contestants in the 2018 Constituency Executive Election the best of luck as we choose leaders to steer the affairs of our great NDC at the constituency level for victory 2020.

I expect a free, fair, peaceful and transparent election.

You are all winners even before voting starts. The outcome of the election must therefore have no losers”.

John Dramni Mahama used the opportunity to remind members of the party of the need for a united front to help the National Democratic Congress wrestle power from the New Patriotic Party to resolve the increasing hardship being visited on Ghanaians by the Akufo-Addo administration.

“Let us forge ahead in unity as we work together for victory in 2020 to resolve the increasing hardship being visited on Ghanaians by the Akufo-Addo administration.”

Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has suspended executive elections in 17 constituencies across the country over raging litigation.

A statement issued and signed by Chief Scribe of the party, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, however, disclosed the rest of the constituencies will hold their elections on June 23, 2018 as planned except Anlo Constituency which has been rescheduled June 30, 2018.
