Former Deputy General Secretary of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has described Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding father of the party as a "mole" in the party who worked against the party’s victory in the 2016 polls.
According to Nana Obiri Boahen, Ghana’s former ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro under President Kufuor administration position on party issues has proven that he is now with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)
“He campaigned for John Mahama and NDC in the 2016 and I am not surprised of all that he is saying. NPP does not need him before to recognize Freddie Blay as our chairman”, Nana Obiri Boahen stated in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com on Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
“He does not pay dues, he is not the financier and also not a sympathizer of NPP for now”, the former NPP Deputy General Secretary told host of ” Kro Yimu Nsem” political talk show Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe had earlier descended heavily on Freddie Blay, saying he and others will not recognize Mr. Blay as the party chairman.
According to him, the election of Freddie Blay poses a threat to the unity of the party.
He alleged the election of Freddie Blay “legitimizes the coup d’etat that was staged against the Afoko administration.
