Sam Pyne, Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party
The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Pyne, has taken the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ofosu Ampofo, to the cleaners.
The NPP stalwart asked the newly-elected NDC National Chairman “to stop the concert.”
The NDC National Chairman reportedly stated that 14 Senior High School (SHS) students had been impregnated in the Ashanti Region due to the implementation of the double track system under the free Senior High School (SHS) programme.
Mr. Ofosu Ampofo did not disclose the names of the schools in the region in which the pregnancies had been recorded.
Sam Pyne said, “I am daring him to publicly state the schools in the region where the pregnancies have been recorded. He cannot just come out and lie like that and go scot-free.
“He should stop the concert because governance is a serious thing. They are still behaving like when Mahama was in office.”
Sam Pyne told OTEC Fm, a Kumasi-based radio station on Tuesday that the NDC has constantly been painting the Ashanti Region black as part of its diabolical plans.
According to him, some NDC gurus consistently peddle falsehoods about development in the Ashanti Region, stressing that the trend should stop now.
Mr. Pyne claimed former President Mahama and some NDC officials spoke ill of the people of the Ashanti Region during their tenure, adding that “we have had enough of their negative agenda.”
