Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is wondering if the roads former President John Dramani Mahama claimed to have constructed in the country flew together with his infamous guinea fowls to neighboring Burkina Faso.
He observes that the roads in almost all the places he visited are nowhere to be found contrary to the latter’s claim they had constructed so many roads that were being used by Ghanaians who are hailing them for a good job done.
“Today when you go all over the country the cry is for roads, roads…haven’t you heard that? But where are the roads Mahama did? He said he did so much roads where are the roads Mahama did. They flew to Burkina with guinea fowls”, he mocked.
According to him, not a single road was completed in the areas he visited suggesting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration deceived Ghanaians into believing they had indeed constructed many roads.
“When I went to the Upper East Region I realized that the 8-years of the NDC government they did not complete one road. When I went to the Upper West I realized that the 8 years of the NDC government they did not complete one road…and even when I went to the Volta Region, I never found one road completed, Western North the same trouble so where are the roads? This is why Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is going to put these roads together and we are going to see construction work going on in the next few day”, he hinted.
Dr. Bawumia noted that the current administration Is doing things that hitherto were not done by previous administrations and ought to be hailed.
“Many of the things we have done have, many of the things we are doing were not done before. These things that we are doing under the visionary leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo did not exist before the current government”, he stressed.
