NDC's Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo
The leadership of Loyalists of Kennedy Agyapong (LOKA) has vowed to make sure the newly elected National Democratic Congress 2020 parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo loses the seat in 2020.
Ghana’s sensational actor and entrepreneur has secured 758 votes representing over 88% of the total votes cast during Saturday's polls whiles his only contender, Suzzy Adorboe polled 99 votes.
Ayawaso West Wuogon seat has long been in the hands of the ruling New Patriotic Party. The incumbent MP for the Constituency, Madam Lydia Alhassan retained the seat for the NPP in a by-election on January 31, 2019 following the sudden demise of her husband, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.
The by-election was characterised by violence and seen as the most turbulent election and low voter turnout ever recorded in the history of the country.
But following his victory, John Dumelo expressed gratitude to the NDC delegates in Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency for the overwhelming confident reposed in him.
He had assured the leadership of the party of winning the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat in 2020.
But, in a statement issued and signed by the group's President, Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah popularly known as Benghazi, LOKA opined that "This constituency is not for people who use small fame and mediocre popularity to dupe innocent women with the intention of being in relationship with them".
The statement accused John Dumelo as a "thief" who had stolen government's V8 vehicle.
According to the statement, such a person doesn't fit to lead the good people of Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in Parliament.
The statement stated that "Nevertheless, we at Loyalists of Kennedy Agyapong- (LOKA) will collaborate with Tescon members in UG, GIMPA and UPSA to make sure thieves like John Dumelo does not win this seat".
The statement indicated that "We have several reports from across the globe concerning this stomach Politician, who joined some few others to connive with John Mahama to dupe State's cars for their personal use illegally. Such a person cannot lead the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon. All documents in relation to the stolen V8 vehicle are in our possession and we will soon make it available to the public".
Kennedy Agyapong's Spokesperson is therefore urging John Dumelo to revise his notes well and get ready for their exposé.
The statement concluded "We are surprised that John Dumelo thinks he can run away with this tag after chairman Abronye DC caught him red handed with thought provoking evidence concerning the car".

It has come to our notice that former Ghanaian actor John Dumelo, has won Saturday's NDC's parliamentary primaries at Ayawaso West Wuogon. First of all, we want to congratulate and welcome him to real political environment, much more serious than the jokes he does on social media.
Nevertheless, we at Loyalists of Kennedy Agyapong- (LOKA) will collaborate with Tescon members in UG, GIMPA and UPSA to make sure thieves like John Dumelo does not win this seat. For someone who stole government's V8 vehicle and was able to speak trash to us when asked about it, does not deserve to even contest than to win the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat. This constituency is not for people who use small fame and mediocre popularity to dupe innocent women with the intention of being in relationship with them.
