Muslim prayers to precede NPP's Manifesto launch

Acting General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) cum National Organizer, John Boadu says a Muslim prayer will precede the Sunday launch of the 'Manifesto of Solutions' slated for October, 9, 2016.

Muslim prayers he revealed would be organised to thank Allah for how far he has brought the party and its leadership.

''The launch slated for Sunday at the Trade Fair would be preceded by Muslim prayers on Friday, October 7, 2016 to thank Allah for how far he has brought the NPP and its leadership. We will continue with a thanksgiving service on Sunday in the morning, then at 12 noon, we will officially climax it with the manifesto launch,''

A statement issued by party yesterday said,“The launch of the manifesto, which contains the solutions Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the party propose to help fix the myriad of problems facing the country, including how to resolve the unemployment problem among young Ghanaians, will be held at the forecourt of the Accra International Trade Fair Centre.

"Starting from 2pm, the event will be presided by Ghana's most successful democratic leader, President John Agyekum Kufuor,” a statement from the main opposition party said.

The statement added: “The manifesto launch will be followed later in the afternoon by a major political rally, which will be opened to all supporters and members of the general public.”

“In attendance will be the Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his running mate, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia,” the statement signed by acting General Secretary John Boadu said.

He stated that, the rally will be preceded by a stakeholder briefing of the manifesto to Civil Society and Identifiable Groups, Embassies and Diplomatic Missions and Political Parties at the Unique Events Palace, Trade Fair Center at 12pm prompt. The campaign message of the NPP he stressed, have been discussions and challenges confronting businesses, unemployment, economic hardship among other key issues of concern.

Their manifesto he added will be hinged on unemployment, infrastructure among others.
