NLA Good Causes Foundation in collaboration with Redeemer Care Foundation on Sunday 8th MAY 2022 celebrated Mother’s Day with several hundreds of widows within the Akwapim North Municipality as part of spreading cheers and sharing smiles on this special day.

The event, saw widows from various parts of the Akuapem North Municipality converge to enjoy an interaction flowing with food and souvenirs, against a background of lively music.

Speaking to the widows present, the CEO of NLA Sammi Awuku warmly expressed: ‘’We sympathize with you our mothers, who by no fault of yours are in this situation. We've often wondered when the best moment would be to honor you, and Mother's Day seemed like the perfect opportunity."

"We at the NLA and its Good Causes Foundation find it extremely gratifying that on Mother's Day, we decided not to spend it in our individual homes, but instead joined the Akuapem North Municipality with our partners Redemer Care Foundation to put together this wonderful program for widows in all parts of the municipality," he said.

We are ecstatic because the majority of the widows find NLA's presence humbling. The Good Causes Foundation, on the other hand, is positioned to do more to help the poor, disadvantaged, mentally ill, and elderly in society.

Redeemer Care Foundation founder Nana Akosua Oye Dartey Baah expressed her thanks to the NLA Good Causes Foundation for cooperating with her to put smiles on the faces of widows in Akuapem North Municipality.

I'm filled with so much joy that my foundation and the NLA Good Causes Foundation, have been able to make a difference in the lives of over 210 widows in the Akuapem North Municipality.
