Tottenham Hotspur Dele Alli has been named Premier League Player of the Month for January after a string of stunning performances since the turn of the calendar year.
Alli has flourished in a very attacking role, helping Spurs stay well in the hunt for an automatic Champions League place with five goals in five league game during the month.
Having scored three goals against Burnley and Southampton in his last two games of December, the 20-year-old picked up in January exactly where he left off with back-to-back braces against Watford and Chelsea.
That game against Chelsea saw Spurs win 2-0 and end deny their opponents what would have been a 14th straight victory and a new Premier League record.
He was in fine form the next league game against West Brom, laying on a sublime goal for Harry Kane and was back on the score-sheet himself to help Spurs claim a draw against Manchester City after being two goals down.
