Abor residents enjoy free medical care
Hundreds of residents of Abor in the Volta Region were screened and treated for various health conditions Saturday by the kind courtesy of Fatom Company Limited.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities, the company also counseled and gave free drugs after the checkup.
Blood pressure, Malaria, eye and breast cancer testing, sugar levels and hypertension were some of the health conditions checked and treated at the Abor Senior High School campus by six medical experts from Ridge Hospital and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).
They were under the leadership of Prof. A Lassay of the KBTH and Brigadier General Paul Kponyoh, former Commanding CEO of 37 Military Hospital and other medical staff from the Catholic Hospital in Abor who supported the team from Accra.
Chairman of the company, Mr. Thomas Dakurah, believes such communities especially helping the aged is a priority for the company and hopes to continue this service to many other communities across the country.
He said the patronage has touched their hearts thus they are planning to make it an annual exercise.
Fatom Company Limited started operations over a year ago deals in logistics and building materials.
