The current Member of Parliament who doubles as the Employment Minister, Hon, Ignatius Baffour Awuah has been running unopposed since 2008 but this time around, he is facing tight competition.

Asomah-Kyeremeh picked the forms on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, in the company of his supporters and party delegates

Mr. Asomah-Kyeremeh expressed confidence in winning the seat at the party’s April Extraordinary Constituency Delegates Conference; assuring the teeming supporters that; “there is a new wind for progress and development in the Sunyani West constituency”.

Asomah-Kyeremeh in an interview said the people of Sunyani West Constituency have called on him to lead the party to reclaim its dwindling fortunes of the Party.

According to him, the constituency has suffered inadequate social infrastructure, massive under-development of the area, and lack of political commitment to the growth and development of the constituency.

He further stated that he has come to unite the people for development, adding that “we need to put this constituency on the national and international development agenda. Our constituency must play a lead role in the region and the country as a whole. We have resources we need marketing platforms.

Mr. Asomah-Kyeremeh pledged to conduct a campaign devoid of personal attacks and maintain the peaceful atmosphere the NPP has enjoyed in the area.
