Aziz Haruna donates to founding fathers of Nasara
The National Nasara coordinator of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Abdul Aziz Haruna Futah has donated a cow and bags of rice to the founding fathers of the NASARA wing of the party ahead of the Eid ul Adha celebrations.
Muslims across the world will commemorate Eid Ul Adha tomorrow, Tuesday, August 21, 2018, and Aziz has presented the items to the founding fathers of Nasara as a mark of respect and love to them for ensuring that Nasara is now a recognized wing of the party.
Aziz mentioned that the gesture was to honour the founding fathers for not reneging on their promise to make the NPP the party of choice in the Zongo communities.
“These are the founding fathers of Nasara. They set the pace for some of us so if today I’m Nasara coordinator I think I owe them big time. They are our fathers. When they started the NPP movement in the Zongos people called them all kinds of names. They started Nasara as a mere club but today it’s a wing of the party so I think that we owe them. This is just a token. It’s nothing compared to the sweat and toil of these elders for our great party, he said”.
A member of the founding fathers who received the items on their behalf noted that the gesture by the former Hearts of Oak management member is the first of its kind.
He, therefore, beseeched Allah’s blessings and guidance for Aziz and wished him the best in his bid to make the NPP, the leading party in the Zongos.
