Mr. Emmanuel Chegeweh, the District Chief Executive (DCE), for Kassena-Nankana, made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the Weekend in Navrongo. Mr Chegeweh gave the assurance that resources would be tapped to develop all areas in the district. He said nobody was against the creation of districts since that was the only means by which the national cake could be distributed equitably and fairly. Mr Chegeweh said "No development can take place in the atmosphere of violence and conflict as history has shown." It would be recalled that last month some irate youth of the newly created district embarked on a peaceful demonstration in Navrongo to express their displeasure over the choice of Paga as the capital for the District.
