An Accra High Court on Thursday, May 18 denied a bail application by Lawyers for suspected Chinese illegal miner Asia Huang.
The court, presided over by Justice Charles Edward Ekow Baiden obliged the lawyers to correct some errors in the statement in opposition by the state and return on May 23, when the substantive matter would be heard.
The Attorney General’s department has indicated it’s processing charges relating to violation of the Minerals and Mining Act, 2006 (Act 703) against the suspected galamsey Queen , Ms Huang and her four Chinese accomplices.
Ms Huang was remanded in prison custody alongside four other Chinese nationals.
