NPP Regional Race: Winners must be guided in their jubilations – Alhaji Short
An aspiring National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Abubakari Abdul Rahman aka Alhaji Short has urged the teeming members and supporters of the party to guard against acts that will mar the success and peace of the upcoming regional executives elections.
According to him, it is important that delegates and aspirants remind themselves that “even in contest with one another, each of our individual goals is the same – service to the NPP – and our collective interest is the (intact) image and well-being of the party.”
In a statement, Alhaji Short urged aspirants to “accept the delegates’ choice or/and let us use the appropriate channels to seek redress in the event of grievance/s. Let us remain steadfast and resolute in our quest for a peaceful as well as purposeful conference.”
He further entreated party members to jealously protect the values that gave the NPP power, adding that nothing must be done to jeopardise the peace that the nation is currently enjoying under H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President.
“We will have given an excellent account of ourselves if we can be particularly measured in our jubilations and celebrations in victory. Our every effort from here on is towards Victory 2020 and, therefore, must be peaceable so as to unite us and make us stronger for the next fight and the next and the next.”
