Led by former Attorney General and virtuoso lawyer, Ayikoi Otoo, the PPP managed to secure a ruling that will [most likely] have the party's flagbearer and presidential candidate join 4 others [previously cleared by the Electoral Commission] contest the December 7 elections.
For PPP flagbearer Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the high court ruling signifies victory for democracy in Ghana.
Former Attorney General and lead counsel for the Progressive Peoples Party, Ayikoi Otoo meanwhile says he is not surprised by the ruling adding it was clear the Electoral Commission (EC) erred in disqualifying Dr Nduom.
Lawyer Ayikoi Otoo is urging the Electoral Commission to do wider consultations and proper due diligence in cases of like manner in order not to disenfanchise any citizen.
