The Ashanti Regional Police Command has begun investigations into the murder of Nana Kwadwo Afordour, the Asamponhene of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in Kumasi.
The 46-year-old chief’s body was found in his vehicle on Sunday, 18 August 2019 at about 4:30 pm near Ebuom on the Ejura – Nkoranza highway.
The police in a statement noted that it believes the chief was murdered and his body deposited at the back seat of his Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle and abandoned at the outskirt of the village.
The police said it has since commenced investigations into the case and is working earnestly to get the perpetrators arrested.
