The Eastern Regional Police Command has revised its night patrol duties with deployment of more Police Personnel to communities in the New Juaben Municipality to protect lives and properties following a surge in armed robbery cases in the municipality.

Many Police personnel were on Tuesday evening spotted being deployed after a parade held at the Regional Police Headquarters.

This follows an emergency meeting held between a high powered delegation by the Inspector General of Police and the Regional Police Command, District commanders and some Detectives over the rise in armed robbery cases in the Municipality.

The spate of armed robbery cases recorded this year in the New Juaben Municipality have created a sense of insecurity among residents blaming Police of doing little.
