The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) has lauded the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service for inviting Rev. Owusu Bempah for interrogations on his ‘Nana Addo death threat’ prophecy.
The founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International claimed some people are plotting to assassinate the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akuf-Addo.
This prompted the police CID to invite him on Wednesday to answer questions concerning his prophecy.
Speaking with 3FM News, the Executive Director for West Africa Network for Peacebuilding, Chukwuemeka Eze, said he does not see the police CID’s invitation as curious, adding that such pronouncement from revered men of God has implications on the impending elections. “I think such pronouncements coming from such revered men of God have implications on the electoral process.
It is the duty of the police to invite such persons to let them know that what they say has influence on the electoral process. “I strongly think that men and women of God should focus on preaching to their people in order to get them to heaven,” said Mr. Eze.
