Your continuous support is a huge relief to party – NPP hails Farouk Aliu Mahama

The Northern Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has described as a huge relief the contributions of Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama to the party during troubling times.

Regional Secretary, Alhaji Sibidow Yakubu Alhassan who revealed this in a letter acknowledging 1,000 bags of sugar Alhaji Farouk donated to the party to cater for under-privileged persons during the fasting period, noted that it could not have come at a better time.

“Before the start of the holy month of Ramadan, you consulted the Regional Chairman about your desire to donate food items to the elderly, the youth and women groups. Your donation of over thousand (1,000) bags of sugar and other food items to these groups of people in the region is a huge relief to the regional party and worthy of commendation,” he said in a commendation letter sighted by MyNewsGh.com.

He however expressed hope that the NPP parliamentary candidate for Yendi constituency will continue to support the party during troubling times even as it races towards election 2020.

“It is our hope that you will continue to support the NPP in whichever way you can for the benefit of all. Thank you and May God Almighty replenish in several folds whatever you have taken out of your earnings to support the party."

Meanwhile he has made a donation of 800 bags of sugar and assorted items to the Muslim community to support them carry-out their month-long Ramadan fasting.

The donation is in his bid to support needy Muslims undergoing spiritual cleansing during the period, considered as one of the pillars in the Islamic calendar.

This year’s Ramadan comes at a time where the globe is under immense weight of the Coronavirus pandemic and the compounding economic misery.
