Residents of the New Juaben Municipality in the Eastern Region are worried over a negative development in the city especially at night where the only public square, the Koforidua Jackon Park has been reduced to a lovemaking venue for lovebirds at night
They are worried some youth in the area have resorted to openly engaging in sex at the place in the night literally turning the place to a brothel further defying norms and values of the area to make love under the cover of darkness.
The situation which is gaining notoriety in the area according to a report on Koforidua-based Bryte Fm, sometimes leaves the area littered with used condoms and wraps of sex enhancement drugs
Residents believe earlier authorities institute measures to clamp down on this canker the better for the area as it could be a recipe to incur the wrath of God which could be more disastrous.
An opinion leader who lives around and gave her name only as Aunty Ama, corroborated the story and revealed that there have been countless occasions they have had to sack some lovebirds engaging in hot sexual escapades from the place.
She added that, “Anytime I ask these kids about their act, all they have to say is that it is love but love is not all about these shameful acts. Love is found within. If a guy does nasty things such as kissing, fondling your breast, squeezing your buttocks and the rest, with you in public, it simply means that he does not respect you.
He thinks you are not a marriageable material but rather a fun lady. I would, therefore, advice my young boys and girls to refrain from these dirty acts”
