Matilda Yamoah took the stool name Nana Akua Amoakua II
A 44-year-old Ghanaian based contractor, has been installed Queenmother of Charlekrom in the Tarkwa Nsueam Municipality of the Western Region.
Mrs Matilda Yamoah succeeded Nana Ntikwaa, who resigned 12 years ago in line of duty.
She took the stool name Nana Akua Amoakua II and is the second to be crowned Queenmother for the area.
The Chief of Esuoso Traditional Area and President of Esuoso Divisional Council, Nana Kwasi Atobrah II, outdoored the new Queen mother at a colourful ceremony held at Charlekrom.
Nana Atobrah II explained that plans were far advanced for the enstoolment of a new chief for Charlekrom.
He pledged to support Nana Amoakua II to improve the present state of the community and also asked the people of Charlekrom to do same.
Nana Amoakua II promised to use all the qualities she had attained over the years to initiate more development projects in the community.
