The AirtelTigo team with nurses and a new mother at La General Hospital in Accra
As part of activities for this year's Mother’s Day celebration, staff of AirtelTigo visited the La General Hospital in the Greater Accra region and the Koforidua Government Hospital in the Eastern region to present new mothers with hampers and other branded gift items.
The mothers were happy to share their new bundles of joy with AirtelTigo and grateful for the hampers which had assorted items for both mother and child.
The Head of Public Relations and CSR for AirtelTigo, Michael Sarpong Bruce, emphasised on the important roles mothers play in the lives of their children. He said as a joint entity AirtelTigo continues to champion diversity and inclusion, creating the best environment for all including working mothers.
He revealed that at their headquarters on Barnes road in Accra, AirtelTigo has a dedicated baby friendly room which allows new mothers the privacy to breastfeed their babies or express milk.
The matrons of both hospitals were grateful for AirtelTigo’s support and encouraged other organisations to contribute and support government facilities to provide quality healthcare.
