Last Sunday, July 1 was a sight to behold at the Nsawam Prison. Tears filled the eyes of many of the inmates who were served jollof rice and chicken with drinks by the RAIN (Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations) Foundations team. The occasion which drew a thousand inmates to their Sunday church service hosted by the United Church was charged with excitement and thanksgiving.
Mr. Raphaelle Antwi, widely known as Author Ralph, a renowned writer of many inspirational books and Founding President of RAIN Foundations shared a message of hope with the inmates, encouraged them to forget their regretful past and press on to a brighter future. About seventeen stewards of Rain Foundations including the President, Mr. Kaiser Obodai and Vice President, Mr. Dela Tofah were also present to serve the inmates and have fellowship with them.
The applause was spontaneous and thunderous when Author Ralph announced that the organization was embarking on a Post-prison rehabilitation project. The project - first of its kind in Ghana, he said was meant to provide medical, psychological, economic, legal, and spiritual support for exconvicts, in order to more effectively reintegrate them into the society as assets and not liabilities.
Rain Prison Ministry was launched on Saturday 28 April in a Breakfast Meeting at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, by Pastor Eastwood Ababa. The ministry, global in vision seeks to share the Love of Christ in the prisons and ultimately encourage the maximization of the gift of life.
Rain Foundations is a non-denominational, Christian organization that in the past 21 years has been sold out to encouraging people to pursue purpose in life and life in eternity. The organization is among the leading names in Christian events and book ministry in Ghana.
