The Forces Old Student Association (FOSA) will from 31st of October 2019 to 3rd November 2019 celebrate its first-ever Homecoming at Burma Camp, Accra.

The aim of the celebration is to reunite all past students of the school, fraternise and rejuvenate alumni activities that foster growth and progress for the school.

The Homecoming will also raise funds to construct a sickbay to cater for the emergency healthcare needs of students on Campus.

The school which was established in 1982 has undergone three name changes; notably from the Burma Camp Secondary School (BUCASS) to the Armed Forces Secondary Technical School (AFSTS) to its recent name of Forces Senior High Technical School (FSHTS).

The event is expected to be graced by eminent guests and personalities which include Honourable Vincent Odotei, Deputy Minister for Communications and Member of Parliament for La Dade-Kotopon, Honourable Peter Nortsu-Kotoe; Ranking Member of Parliament’s Committee on Education, Brig. Gen. Stanley Brian Alloh; Commander Support Services Brigade Group, and Mr. Ibrahim Mahama; C.E.O, Engineers and Planners, and an Old Student of the school.

The four-day celebrations will kickstart with the official launch on Thursday 31st October 2019 and will feature a host of fun activities to revive memories and create new bonds, to be followed by Career Guidance and Counselling Sessions for current students.

An Exhibition by Students in Departmental lots will be held at the premises of the school followed by a bonfire and Jama night on Friday 1st November 2019.

A Health walk, Health screening exercise, sports festival and a special food bazaar that seeks to create a bond between old and current students will fall on Saturday 2nd November, 2019. A Thanksgiving Service to climax the celebration will be held on 3rd November, 2019.

The coordinator of the homecoming celebration Richard Kotoku expressed optimism of the fun-packed activities that awaits old students and current students hence urged their participation.

He believes all old students will not only relive their memories when they were in school but share their life and career experiences with each other and students.

The Executives of the association also used the opportunity to entreat all Old Students, Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the erstwhile Burma Camp Secondary School (BUCASS), Armed Forces Secondary Technical School (AFSTS) and Forces Senior High Technical School, to join in making the event historic. .
