Christians must be incorruptible, even in hardships – pastor Appiagyei

Pastor Kingsley Appiagyei, Senior Pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church (TBC), has advised Christians not to corrupt their moral principles in spite of the hardships and the temptations of the times.

In a world where it is trendy for people to keep their options open towards achieving their goals, Christians are mandated to live above reproach in obedience to the word of God, Pastor Appiagyei said, in a sermon to launch this year’s Integrity Conference, at the Ghana Church, Oasis House, Legon.

“The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil”, he quoted Ecclesiastes 12:13-14”.

Consequently, he said, Christians in making decisions or taking actions regarding all endeavours of their lives, should consider the resultant legacies by which they would be remembered by heaven, their families, friends and their nations, and choose the way of righteousness.

Pastor Appiagyei said success, purity and prosperity are some of the enormous benefits from being resolute in obedience to God, as demonstrated by the lives of Abraham, Job, Daniel, Noah, and other leaders in the bible, who were bountifully rewarded for their unflinching obedience.

However, he warned, that those who use corrupt means to rise to the top and to satisfy their needs eventually fall shamefully by same principle, explaining, that is why David did not kill King Saul to ascend the throne when he was presented with the opportunity to kill his enemy.

The Integrity conference, scheduled for September 24 to 28, is under the theme: “Imitating Christ”, to emphasise that the Christian life must be a reproduction of godliness as seen in the person of Christ Jesus.

It would be addressed by Pastor Agu Irukwu, Senior Pastor of Jesus House, the Reverend Eastwood Anaba, President the Eastwood Anaba Ministries, Bishop James Saah , Senior Bishop of the Action Church International, and the host pastor.

The Conference is organised annually for Christians to reaffirm their commitment to serve God and mankind with integrity.
