Kempinski Hotel kickstarts 2018 Christmas with Tree Lighting event

The Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra on Sunday December 2, held its Christmas Tree Lighting event attracting music groups and soloists who rendered spectacular performances to expectant invited guests and the general public.

The Christmas Tree Lighting event which started off with an array of music performances from music groups including the Kinder Paradise led by Mr. Julius Richardson, Accragio led by Madam Sarah Abotsi-Masters and the Lincoln Community School music choir was crowned with the lighting of the giant Christmas tree at the foyer of the hotel.

Former President John Kufuor was a participant in the tree lighting whereupon he noted that it was always a positive feeling having loved ones around as the year concludes adding he wished prosperity for Ghanaians all over the world.

General Manager of Kempinski Hotel, Manish Nambiar expressed delight in having so many attendees despite it being a Sunday noting that the tree lighting event happens every first Sunday in December (first Sunday in the Advents Calendar) at Kempinski. He assured, the hotel was geared up to serve patrons during this festive period.

He was grateful for those who made the tree lighting event a huge success including Theresa, wife of the Australian Ambassador, Kinder Paradise, Lincoln School, GIS, Accragio, Akosombo Textiles Limited (ATL) for providing fabric for the music teams, Emirates Airlines and the Ghana Journalists Association for the army of reporters on hand.

The Kaneshie Mantse; Nii Nikoi Asheley I as well as the Bubuashie Mantse; Nii Ashie Kumowuo II were special guests with their royal entourage.

The Christmas Tree Lighting also saw families together with their young ones having a swell time. There was an overflow of cocktails, wines and milk shakes as there were chops of all shapes, sizes and taste.
