Some Ghanaians on twitter have tongue-lashed President Akufo-Addo for extending his condolences to the families and loved ones of the about 30 Ghanaians, including a police officer who met their untimely death at the Kintampo-Tamale Highway on Monday, March 9, 2020.

Year after year, it has been reported that travellers perish in road accidents on that stretch yet, no preventive measures have been put in place to resolve the accidents on the Kintampo-Tamale highway which has become a 'death' trap for both passersby and travellers who ply that route.

According to some tweeps, the President, together with his appointees must do the needful by fixing the bad roads as promised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their 2016 manifesto.

One of the comments read "We don’t need sympathy, get to work!, fix the roads".

Another said "The usual thoughts and prayers but no action".

Black Monday it was for the country as a Yutong bus, heading to Accra veered off its lane and collided with a Tamale-bound Sprinter.

The ferocity of the accident left the two vehicles in flames with about 30 of the passengers being burnt to death. 6 people, however, survived with various degrees of injuries.
