Be disciplined - I.C. Quaye tells Hearts players

Sheikh Ibrahim Cudjoe Quaye, Greater Accra Regional Minister, has advised players of league champions, Accra Hearts of Oak, to be disciplined and dedicated in order to be successful in their career.

Quaye said they should not be taken away by the praises of their numerous supporters to become indisciplined but they should instead remain committed and follow instructions of their technical men, management members and all officials of the club to ensure more success. "You must ignore comments by supporters when on the field of play especially when the going is tough so that you remain focused to overcome your difficulties".

The Regional Minster gave the advise when officials and players of Accra Hearts of Oak called on him to present him with trophies they have won this year in recognition of his role as the man in charge of the Greater Accra Region.

Quaye said they could only win more laurels for themselves, the team and the nation if they remained disciplined and committed to their work adding that football is now a full-time business and must be taken seriously. He also urged the management of the team to develop ways of moving the club forward to ensure national development.

Tommy Okine Chief Executive of Accra Hearts of Oak assured the minister of the team?s determination to make amend in next years African Clubs Championship. He pledged that the clubs was going to do everything possible to win the Champions League for the second time and also defend the league trophy for the seventh time.

The trophies presented to the minister were, the King Tackie Tawiah cup, the GHALCA Top Four trophy as well as the Premier League trophy, all of which were picked in the 2002 soccer season.
