GRADUATE James Burton is offering people the chance to have a year to remember thanks to his new company in UK. The freelance photographer has set up Gap Sports Abroad, a company which aims to develop sport in underdeveloped countries.
Sport enthusiasts can go to Ghana for a minimum of three months and coach football, tennis, basketball or boxing.
James, 23, said: "We're offering a new idea for the gap year market.
"It's a really good opportunity for people and we hope that we get the support and interest.
"People can see a lot of Ghana as we have tours showing them the sights.
"We've got a lot of good contacts, good staff and support."
GSA also offers teaching, art and design placements as well.
James got the idea for the company when he met up with a friend in Ghana who runs a football academy there.
During his degree in photography at Nottingham Trent University, he spent time at the Tom Vernon Football Academy in Ghana, which combines football training with an educational programme.
In his final year, he starting developing his company.
James spent his own gap year in Zimbabwe and Mozambique before he went to Nottingham Trent University to study photOgraphy.
He said: "We hope to expand the company over a period of time."
He added that The Princes Trust were providing support to the company.
Mr Burton is promoting the company to schools and universities.
Gap-year school leavers, post-grads, sports enthusiasts and those taking a break from work are all welcome.
