Besiktas forward Kevin Prince Boateng has described the victory over Ankaragücü in the Turkish league on Friday as an important win and a gift for his birthday.
The Ghanaian striker, who turned 33 on March 6th, returned to the starting line up to help the Black and Whites to a 2-1 victory at home.
"Intense match and important team win. The best gift I could have received today.Let's go," he posted after the game.
Burak Yilmaz opened the scoring for Besiktas after just six minutes before Adem Ljajic netted the secon with two minutes remaining.
Ankaragücü pulled one back through Ilhan Pariak in injury time.
Boateng, who is on loan from Italian side Fiorentina was replaced in the 66th minute by Abdoulay Diaby.
The 33-year old has scored twice in five games for the Turkish giants, prompting the club to make efforts on handing him a permanent deal.
