Former Nigeria international Mitiu Adepoju has heaped praise on Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey following his exploits in LaLiga in recent seasons.
Partey is enjoying his best season in the Spanish top-flight with Atletico Madrid, having made 31 appearances in all competitions for Los Rojiblancos.
His impressive displays have seen him being linked with a move to several clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, PSG, Juventus, and Bayern Munich.
"Thomas Partey is really doing very well, I’ve been following him for like 2 to 3 years now when he was in the second team and after he was promoted to the first-team," Adepoju stated on La Liga’s Inside Show.
"The way he’s been playing, he has commanded a very good presence of himself. I’m delighted by the way he is playing and I believe we can look out for him, he’s a great player and he is going to continue to be great in La Liga."
The 26-year-old has come through the ranks at the Wanda Metropolitano and has established himself as a key figure for Diego Simeone’s side having played over 170 games for the first-team since the 2015/16 season.
Partey is under contract with the Spanish club until 2023 and has been offered a new deal to tie down the player until 2026 with a release clause of €100m (£87m), according to reports in Spain.
