Hearts of Oak star Thomas Abbey is reportedly close to finalising his transfer to South African outfit Cape Town City.
The 24-year-old has arrived in Cape Town to complete a move to the Blue and Gold Army, it has been claimed in the local media.
The future of the versatile man at the Ghanaian giants has been in serious doubt for much of the season just gone, rejecting a contract renewal offer from the Phobians.
New coach of the PSL side, Benni McCarthy wants to reinforce his squad with the hugely talented Ghanaian after losing forward Bhongolwethu Jayiya to rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
Abbey may be justified in looking for a new challenge after helping the Phobians to finish third last season, where he netted 14 times in all competitions.
He was a member of the home-based stars that clinched gold in the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations in Ghana.
