Tottenham Hotspur scouts were left underwhelmed after watching Ghanaian defender Adams Kasim Nuhu in action for Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German Bundesliga last month.
Manager Jose Mourinho has completely ruled out any move for the 1.90 m tall defender after he received the scouting report about the player.
According to a confident source, an agent recommended the player to the Tottenham earlier in January and Mourinho scheduled for the player to be watched BUT in the Bundesliga games they had scheduled to assess the performance of the player he was unused.
However in a Bundesliga game in mid-February, the former Real Mallorca defender was handed a starting berth in Uwe Rösler’s line up against Borussia Monchengladbach.
But, the defender had a game to forget on that afternoon as he was hauled off the pitch 9 minutes from time due to his uninspiring performance which contributed to the club shipping 4 goals against the visitors.
Tottenham scouts left the stadium disappointed and submitted their reports to the former Manchester United and Chelsea boss who has decided against signing the defender who has now been declared surplus to requirement by Dusseldorf where he is playing on loan from Hoffenheim.
