: Apostle Lilian Kumah, the widow of late Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah, has set the record straight about her husband's death. Contrary to rumors circulating online, she clarified that John Kumah didn't die from food poisoning, but rather from a severe illness he battled for over a year.
According to Apostle Kumah, her husband was diagnosed with a terminal blood-related disease in August 2023 during a medical check-up in Germany. Medical examinations conducted in both Germany and Ghana found no evidence of poisoning. Apostle Kumah expressed frustration with individuals making baseless allegations, including broadcaster Captain Smart, and called for action against such false claims.
She shared that her husband endured his illness with remarkable strength and dedication, remaining committed to his duties until the end. John Kumah passed away on March 7, 2024, after his condition deteriorated during a trip to Accra for further medical care. Apostle Kumah possesses all medical reports confirming the true cause of her husband's death and urged an end to the unfounded rumors.
