On November 21, 2024, Sylvia Patience Baah, the Airport Services Manager of Emirates Airlines in Accra, was abducted at the door of her home. She was safely freed by the Ghana Police Service. The police confirmed her safe return to her family on November 23, 2024, when they announced her rescue. A group of medical specialists and behavioral psychologists have been tasked with helping Baah and her family get well after her rescue.
