Safo Newman, a Ghanaian artist best known for songs like "Akokoa," "Miss Isabela," and "Sorrow Fly," recently talked about the difficulties he has had since becoming well-known. In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Safo disclosed that some individuals have advised he use illegal drugs to increase his energy and confidence when performing. "I will not be doing that," he said adamantly, in spite of the advice. Stressing that he stays loyal to himself, he said, "I don't think I can do that."
Safo admitted that some people have criticized him for his composed performance style, which stems from his reclusive nature, because they fail to understand that people have different temperaments. Although some might anticipate a more "wild" performance, he clarified that he is dedicated to remaining true to himself.
The artist has also come under fire for his attire and what some consider to be a lack of stage presence. Safo is still committed to honing his music and performance in spite of the criticism. He revealed that in addition to honing his craft, he is writing music that not only makes people dance but also engages their minds with thought-provoking ideas.
